About the Book

Imagine leaving your home with the door unlocked, the windows open, the alarm disabled, and the home safe open. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? But, that’s exactly how many of us treat our devices, leaving them vulnerable to hacks and cyber-attacks.

The Good The Bad The Cyber Buddha shines a light on some of our seemingly innocent habits – you’re sure to be guilty of at least one of them – and demonstrates how they can cost you dearly.

Set at a house party in Mumbai, seven people, mostly strangers, discuss stories of love, loss, revenge and jealously – all set against a backdrop of the dark, tangled web of cybercrime. What happened when a journalist took his phone into the washroom? How did a borrowed charging port cause a woman to get fired? Why did a young man get kidnapped by some of his Instagram followers? Who impersonated a DIY blogger and posted sexually explicit content? The book promises answers to all these and more.

And that’s not all. With the help of common stories, the resident Cyber Buddha, Paathik Muni offers clear actions everyone needs to get back control over their devices – before it’s too late.
